   my pc recently updated and since the update, ane of my 2 bluray drives both external usb2 no longer shows up in windows. not in explorer nor device manager. it shows up in the BIOS and works fine on another computer afaik information technology hasnt been updated in maybe a month or so, and then the bulldoze itself is fine.i have followed the steps in this guide https://support.microsoft.com/en-usa/topic/your-cd-or-dvd-drive-is-not-recognized-by-windows-or-other-programs-64da3690-4c1d-ef04-63b8-cf9cc38ca53e and none of it has worked. removing the drive in device manager and restarted did goose egg. the manufacturer

   Appreciate your detailed return. Your added steps really helped.

   Bold I did the steps correctly, this is where I am now.

   Screenshot 12 shows my CD Disc shortcut on my desktop.
   Screenshot 10 shows the CD Drive shortcut listed in the "Send to" listing.
   Screenshot xi shows the "Send to" list later on the steps were taken, but the CD drive name is not listed.

   So, information technology appears the steps did non piece of work for me. And, I did try the steps, "If it however won't do ……" and however no luck.

   What do you recall?

   Here'south mine afterwards I rt clk'd on my Documents Folder like you bear witness in Scrsht 11:

   

   I'd like to wait until you answer to my question in Scrsht 12, if it is a remnant of the process endeavour deleting the one on the dsktp and see if the one in send to as well disappears. If it stays in send to, test information technology, and if you're still having problems I'd suggest you lot could get back to: Pick One: To Add together or Remove Items in Ship To context menu for Your Account (current user) and do Step iii to remove it and start over using Stride 4 but be very careful of your steps in creating the shortcut and exist sure you d&d that shortcut to the send to part of the address.

   I'one thousand busy today and I probably won't be back until the evening.

   Screenshot 24 shows the list of "Ship to" names including the CD shortcut.
